what kind of designer would I be if I didn’t create my own logo?
My logo started as just the brand mark - something to put on the back of my personal business cards when I got out of the Navy and suddenly had nothing to hand people who I spoke with.
The brand mark was inspired by my tattoo of a malin, a symbol meaning “you have to face setbacks to move forward,” which has become somewhat of my life story.
The letter mark for LeslieSarahDesigns was created later, as part of a final project for my Anatomy of Type class in my first semester at school. I wanted something that had movement to it to match the malin, but was a slab-serif that was easy to read from far away.
